 * BANK OF INDIA: To raise 5 bln rupees through a qualified institutional placement and is in the
process of finalising investment banks for the issue.

 * BEARDSELL: Has prematurely repaid 18 mln rupees of its long-term debt as of September.

* BHARAT HEAVY ELECTRICALS: The company and Progress Rail of the US have signed a pact to develop new technologies for Indian Railways, use each other's supply chain, and pitch for operating rail fleet. * SUZLON ENERGY: Has received shareholders' approval to issue securities worth up to 20 bln rupees.

* TATA STEEL: Several thousand steelworkers took to the streets of Bochum in Germany's industrial
heartland on Friday to protest against the planned merger of the European steel units of thyssenkrupp
and the company. Plans to develop an ecosystem for ancillary and downstream units in the vicinity of its Kalinganagar project in Odisha. Thyssenkrupp AG is to set up a joint working group of board members and labour representatives to help implement the plan to merge with the company.

* VIMAL OIL & FOODS: BANK OF BARODA has filed an application with the Ahmedabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal to initiate corporate insolvency resolution process against the
company.

* VST TILLERS TRACTORS: Has entered into a technology transfer agreement with Kukje Machinery Co, Korea, to manufacture tractors of higher horsepower in India.
