* ALEMBIC: Board has given in-principle approval to demerge some real estate operations of the company to promoter Shreno Ltd.

* AXIS BANK: The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has asked the bank to pay over 5 mln rupees to a customer for failing to return certain documents submitted by him while availing a loan, even after he repaid the amount.

* BHARAT PETROLEUM CORP: Plans to set up a liquefied natural gas terminal on the east coast, a
source said, while adding that a decision on this issue is likely to be finalised by the end of the current
financial year.

* BIOCON: The company and Biocon Research have sold 0.5% stake or 141.49 mln shares in the
company's subsidiary Syngene International through the open market.

* CIPLA: The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority has approved the company's three-drug combination anti-retroviral treatment for human immunodeficiency virus.

* COAL INDIA: Has initiated talks with Barapukuria Coal Mining Company, Bangladesh's sole coal
producer, to help it explore coal mines as well as set up new projects.

* GENERAL INSURANCE CORP OF INDIA: Is in the final stages of getting approval to set up a whollyowned subsidiary in Russia, General Manager Deepak Godbole said, adding that it would be in a position to start operations in Russia by January.

* PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK: An enforcement directorate investigation has found that Mehul Choksi diverted over 32.50-bln-rupee funds, allegedly defrauded from the bank's branch in Mumbai, to foreign shores and he was in business of "highly inflating" prices of precious metals sold from his outlets.

* RBL BANK: The bank said it has not received any notice or order regarding payment on account of
service tax and goods and services tax from tax authority.

* REDINGTON (INDIA): Board will meet on Monday to consider share buyback.

* SALZER ELECTRONICS: Promoters have increased their stake in the company by 2% to 36%.

* STATE BANK OF INDIA: Anshula Kant has taken charge as the managing director of the bank. State governments will likely reap a windfall gain of around 227 bln rupees this fiscal from the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, a report by the bank's Economic Research Wing has claimed.

* SUN PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRIES: Said the US Food and Drug Administration was conducting an inspection at the company's facility in Mohali, Punjab. The inspection started on Monday.

* TATA MOTORS: Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc, the UK-based subsidiary of the company, will raise 700 mln euros (approximately 59 bln rupees) by offering senior notes due in 2026.

* TATA POWER CO: Tata Power Solar Systems, a subsidiary of the company, has launched operations to  install solar power units on rooftops of residential, commercial and industrial buildings in Mumbai.

* TECH MAHINDRA: Has begun an investigation against one of its senior leaders after a former employee accused on social media, the company's chief diversity and inclusivity officer of being insensitive and making discriminatory remarks towards people with a different sexual orientation.

* VEDANTA: The Income Tax Department has sold more of Cairn Energy's shares in the company to
recover a part of the 102.47 bln rupees retrospective tax demand, the British firm said. The signing of the first-ever contracts under the Open Acreage Licensing (OALP-I) has been unusually delayed. The contractsigning ceremony was scheduled for Sep 6.

* WIPRO: Will provide a series of implementation services and related software and data solutions to Duck Creek Technologies for its insurance customers across the globe.

* YES BANK: The capital raising committee of board of directors of the bank has approved raising up to 30 bln rupees through tier-II bonds with green shoe option of 10 bln rupees.
