Pre Session: Sensex, Nifty to open flat; GAIL shares in focus

Indian equity indices are expected to open almost flat on Tuesday as the United States has decided “not to reissue waivers” on import of Iranian oil. Asian shares were little changed on Tuesday, hovering not far from nine-month peaks hit last week, with concerns China may slow the pace of policy easing curbing the market's enthusiasm. The US stocks ended almost flat during the overnight trade on Monday ahead of Q4 results by major companies including Amazon, Boeing and Facebook. Back home, flat trends on the SGX Nifty Index Futures for April delivery, which were trading at 11,626.00, up by 9.50 points.
