* OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORP: Expects to complete acquisition of the government's 51.1% stake in HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORP this calendar year, the company's Chairman and Managing Director Dinesh Kumar Sarraf said. The government is planning to allow private firms to take majority stake in the company's producing oil and gas fields such as Mumbai High.
* ORCHID PHARMA: Is not in a position to report its financials for Apr-Jun, as the powers of the board have been suspended.
* POWER GRID CORP: Has commissioned 800-kV Champa-Kurukshetra high voltage direct current terminals, along with associated bays under "western region-northern region high voltage direct current" interconnector for independent power producer projects in Chhattisgarh.
* POWER FINANCE CORP: Has committed financial assistance of 40.09 bln rupees to Telangana for setting up a 4,000-MW thermal power plant in Nalgonda district.
* RELIANCE INDUSTRIES: Subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm has entered into a deal with Roy Kapur Films to provide original digital video content. Reliance Jio Infocomm will provide partial refund to buyers of JioPhone who wish to return the phone after one year, parent Reliance Industries said in a release. Outbid rivals to buy the entire volume of coal-bed methane produced from its own blocks in central India until at least March 2021.
* RELIANCE POWER: Shareholders have approved a resolution to increase its borrowing limit to up to five times its paid up capital and free reserves.
* RELIGARE ENTERPRISES: Told the Delhi High Court that it was unlikely to complete the sale of arm Religare Health Insurance Co to True North this year as it was awaiting necessary approvals from Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.
