* AVIATION: The government has said 11 of the 14 A320neo aircraft that were grounded due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues have started flying again after change of engines.
* BANKING: The Reserve Bank of India routinely interacts with investigative agencies when they probe financial transactions and markets, and such consultation cannot be termed as questioning of central bank officials. Changes need to be made to the Banking Regulation Act, RBI Deputy Governor N.S. Vishwanathan said.
* CONSUMER GOODS: Patanjali Ayurved plans to expand its presence in the dairy segment by next year. Patanjali Ayurved will foray into the garment manufacturing business next year.
* DEFENCE: The government has firmed up plans with Russia to manufacture Kalashnikov rifles in India for the Army, which now has changed specifications that allow AK-103 rifles to fit the bill.

* REGULATORY: The Securities and Exchange Board of India has said it will take action in a phased manner against 14,720 entities in a case related to orchestrated trades in illiquid stock options on the BSE, with the intention of generating profits through manipulative transactions. SEBI will roll out a new system to monitor foreign investment limits in listed Indian companies from May 1.
* TAXATION: The Central Board of Direct Taxes clarified that individuals who receive pension from their former employers can claim a standard deduction of 40,000 rupees on the amount of pension, or whichever is less.
