* AVIATION: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Arun Kumar, the additional secretary and financial advisor in the aviation ministry, as the director general in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, as per a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
* BANKING: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development raised 331.69 bln rupees in 2018-19 (Apr-Mar) on behalf of the government to meet the shortfall in its budgetary allocation for the fiscal, Chairman Harsh Kumar Bhanwala said.
* CEMENT: The National Company Law Tribunal Mumbai bench has approved Dalmia Cement
(Bharat) offer for debt-laden Murli Industries, but has outlined certain changes to the plan the winning bidder must make to prevent the company from going into liquidation.
* CORPORATE: CRISIL Research expects the average growth in revenue of Indian corporates to moderate to 5-6% in Apr-Jun from 14-15% in the past four quarters. At 5-6%, the revenue growth would be the slowest in two years, it said.
* TELECOMMUNICATION: The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal has ruled in favour of telecom companies on the issue of one-time spectrum charge, in a development that could potentially reduce by more than 60% the amount the Department of Telecommunications has sought from the industry on this count.
