Indian equities opened higher on Thursday, tracking firm cues from Asian peers, led by strong rally across capital goods and oil&gas space. The investor cheered White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow’s comment that US President Donald Trump has not “set in stone” any decisions on escalating tariffs on Chinese goods and may withdraw some duties if there are promising policy discussions with China, reported Economic Times. Overseas, the Asian stocks rose in early trade, following strong closing ta Wall Street in overnight trade, amid ease in US-China trade tensions. Shares of Larsen and Toubro rallied over 5 per cent after the company posted a 28.36 per cent jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 2,593.41 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2018.
At 9:18 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 34577.03, up by 134.98 points
