* ASIAN PAINTS: Has acquired remaining 59,868 shares or 49% stake in Sleek International from Ahuja family for 500 mln rupees.

* CANARA BANK: Has issued a request for proposal to appoint merchant bankers as lead managers for its proposed qualified institutional placement.

* CENTRUM CAPITAL: Eight Capital Group and the company are in a race to pick up a majority stake in Hindustan Dorr-Oliver, which is currently facing corporate insolvency proceedings.
