Pre Session: Sensex, Nifty seen opening lower on weak global cues

Indian benchmark indices are likely to open lower on Wednesday, tracking bearish cues from Nifty futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange and weak trend across global markets. Overseas, markets across Asia slide after Wall Street ended lower for the second straight session on Tuesday, with the Dow witnessed its biggest one-day drop since May, led by sharp losses in healthcare and energy stocks. Back home, bearish trend in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for February delivery, which were trading at 11,012.50, down by 54.00 points.
