Pre Session: Sensex, Nifty seen opening higher on firm global cues

Indian equities may open higher on the first trading day of October derivatives contracts, tracking bullish trend across SGX Nifty Index Futures and positive cues from global peers. Overseas, the Asian stocks were trading higher, led by Japanese shares as yen dropped against dollar after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points. In the overnight trade, Wall Street ended higher, snapping four day losing streak, on the back of rally in the index heavy weights Apple and Amazon. Back home, bullish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for October delivery, which were trading at 11,092.00, up by 49.50 points.
