Pre Session: Flat opening on cards for Sensex, Nifty; Jet Airways shares in focus

Indian equities may open flat on Thursday amid India-Pakistan tensions, Trump-Kim Jong-un meeting and expiry of February futures & options contracts. Investors will also be awaiting third quarter GDP (gross domestic product) numbers, due later in the day. Overseas, the Asian stocks were trading mostly lower after cautious comments from US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer dented some of the recent optimism towards China-US trade relations. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was down 0.1 per cent. Back home, bullish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for February delivery, which were trading at 10,835.50, up by 32 points.
