Pre Session: Sensex, Nifty may open flat; Adani Ports shares in focus

The domestic benchmark indices may open flat on Tuesday taking cues from corporate earnings and mixed cues from Asian peers. Asian shares tracked European gains on Tuesday, as relief over EU election results eased concerns about political difficulties in the bloc and merger news supported auto shares, although persistent concerns about trade capped regional sentiment. US stock market was shut on Monday on account of Memorial Day, a day marked to honor the people who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Oil prices were mixed on Tuesday, pressured by a weakening economy, especially in China, yet still supported by ongoing supply cuts from producer club OPEC and US sanctions against Iran and Venezuela. Back home, bearish trends in the SGX Nifty Index Futures for May delivery, which were trading at 11,922.00, down by 2.00 points.
