Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to start in negative; Infosys in focus

Indian benhcmarks are expected to start the day on a negative note on Tuesday after an extended weekend. A host of factors, including corporate earnings, global cues, and stock-specific action will dictate the market trajectory today. On Friday, the S&P BSE Sensex settled at 39,298 levels, up 246 points or 0.63 per cent, while the Nifty50 index gained 75.50 points.
