Indian equities are poised to open lower on Monday tracking weak cues from fellow Asian markets. The market is likely to see thin trading as traders reluctant to buy risky assets ahead of the new year holidays. On Friday, the Indian equities ended in the positive territory after seven straight sessions of losses, with benchmark index Sensex again touching the psychological level of 26,000-mark, while NSE Nifty settled below its 8,000 mark led by early rollovers to January series and bargain hunting at lower levels.
