* AVIATION: Air India will hit the bond market to raise 220 bln rupees as it looks to restructure its balance sheet before being put up for sale.
* BANKING: Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das on Friday said the central bank would continue to refine its methodologies for forecasting and assessing macroeconomic developments, along with "nowcasting" growth and inflation. At a time when some non-banking finance companies and housing finance companies, have defaulted on repayments of debt instruments, Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Viral Acharya said the quality of disclosures by companies need to be fine-tuned.
* CEMENT: The Competition Commission of India is examining complaints regarding hike in cement prices and cartelisation by cement companies, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said.
* ECONOMY: The government has cut interest rates on small savings schemes by 10 basis points for Jul-Sep. Indian companies raised $3.49 bln through external commercial borrowings in May as against $3.16 bln raised in April, according to the data released by the Reserve Bank of India.
* ENERGY: ReNew Power has raised $300 mln through a rights issue.
* FINANCE: The board of Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services has constituted a six-member
committee that will be empowered to take necessary steps to enhance enterprise value of assets under
divestment.
* REAL ESTATE: Anil Ambani plans to lease out or sell the 700,000 sq ft Reliance Centre in Santacruz, which could fetch as much as 15-20 bln rupees, and move back to his Ballard Estate office in south Mumbai.
