Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to start on positive note today

Indian benchmarks are expected to start the day on a positive note on Monday, but it would remain volatile as investors may continue to consolidate and react to stock-specific developments today.
Trends on SGX Nifty indicate a positive opening for the broader index in India, with 19 points gain or 0.16 percent. The Nifty futures were trading around 11,934-level on the Singaporean Exchange. Meanwhile, Experts expect volatility to continue in coming week as well, given the lack of major news and the expiry of November futures and options contracts on November 28.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 40359.41 down by -215.76 points or by -0.53 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11914.4 down by -54 points.
