Pre-Session: Flat opening on cards for Sensex, Nifty

Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day on flat note with positive bias on Wednesday. Investors will look at US Fed's monetary policy decision due later in the day, crude oil prices, UK election (starts Thursday) and US-China trade talks for cues today. After slashing interest rates thrice this year, the Federal Reserve is widely expected to keep the interest rates unchanged this time at 1.50-1.75 per cent.
On the stock-specific front, YES Bank has told the exchanges it is considering the $500 million offer made by Citax Holdings and Citax Investment Group. The firm also said it is still considering the binding offer of $1.2 billion offer from Canadian businessman Erwin Singh Braich and SPGP Holdings.
On Tuesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 40239.88 down by -247.55 points or by -0.61 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11856.8 down by -80.7 points.
