Pre-Session: Sensex, Nifty likely to open flat on Thursday

Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day on flat on Thursday. Markets would remain volatile today amid mixed trade in Asian shares and ahead of expiry of futures and options contract of December series later in the day.
The overall investment sentiment is likely to remain subdued in this holiday week as investors await fresh cues. Market participants will thus track stock-specific action, global factors, and oil and rupee's trajectory during the day.
Among individual stocks, shares of Yes Bank may react to the rating downgrade today. Brickwork Ratings has downgraded the ratings of Yes Bank’s lower Tier II Bonds, upper Tier II Bonds, hybrid Tier I Bonds and innovative perpetual debt instruments.
On Tuesday, the 30-share benchmark index ended at 41461.26 down by 181.4 points or by 0.44 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 12214.55 down by 48.2 points.
