Pre-Session: Flat opening likely for Sensex, Nifty today

Indian benchmark indices are expected to start the day on flat note on Monday. Investors will react to the Sensex reshuffle, RBI's "Operation Twist", and company-specific developments in today's session.
Tata Motors, Tata Motors DVR, YES Bank and Vedanta will be dropped from the BSE’s benchmark Sensex from today. Instead, UltraTech Cement, Titan Co and Nestle India will be added to the index.
Likewise, other BSE and NSE indices will also see some churning in its constituents from December 26.
Further, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is slated to launch its US Fed-style "Operation Twist" on Monday where it will conduct simultaneous purchase and sale of government securities under Open Market Operations (OMO) for Rs 10,000 crore.
Additionally, traders can expect some short-term volatility as the December series F&O contracts will expire on Thursday and traders will roll over their positions to next month.
On Friday, the 30-share benchmark index closed at 41,681.54 up by 7.62 points or by 0.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 12271.8 up by 12.1 points.
